New Celtic Cross View more here...In 1999 I entered a “Millennium” competition to design a contemporary interpretation of a Celtic Cross for Saltash, Cornwall.
Out of 87 entries I was fortunate enough to be shortlisted and finally chosen as winner, but unfortunately in 2001 the project failed on planning issues.
In 2009 I was invited by “Saltash Residents Association” to include the Cross design in their National Lottery bid for a new site in Saltash, at the Cornish end of the Tamar Bridge.
After a successful bid this “Gateway to Cornwall” sculpture was finally installed in the spring of 2013.
